Fuzzbolls Evolved
Fuzzbolls Evolved extends from the original project, Fuzzbolls, To furthur enhance their AI aspects. They now have intelligence by means of a pre-trained neural network, and path creation and planning, in order to navigate their world.
Unfortunately the game can be fairly buggy, such as having the fuzzbolls trying to eat, but staying just out of range of their food source.
The goal of the game is to grow your herd to reach 40 living fuzzbolls, however you will lose if they all die out. This goal may be unreasonable at the moment, due to the bugs, but the game is mostly about experimentation with AI, rather than making an actual fun game. The original fuzzbolls is much better for that.
The Fuzzbolls will turn green when hungry, blue when thirsty, and red when low on health. When hungry or thirsty they will seek out food or water, but will only eat/drink if they feel safe, which they feel safer when the player is nearby, so you can defend them.
They have a lifespan of about 100 years, or 8 real time minutes, in which they will breed to create children, who will grow up with genetic aspects of their parents. The idea being, that survival of the fittest will play out, having the stronger personality traits outlive the weaker, and produce children with similar traits, creating a stronger herd. This could mean in one play-through, you get a really brave group which fight hunters when they come near, but in another game, all your fuzzbolls run away and hide to protect themselves.
